Thursday, September 27, 2007

Don't go hungry to "What's for Dinner?" the new exhibit at Silver Eye Center for Photography, South Side. Diana Shearwood's big, glorious color photos of meats, melons, muffins, oranges, tomatoes, cookies and more will surely get the digestive juices stirring -- even though her photos are of photos on the sides of trucks used to transport food.

An artist's talk and opening reception will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, with a sampling of local foods from Le Pommier, Blackberry Meadows Farm, Davis & Davis Gourmet Foods, Emerald Valley Artisan Cheese, Mediterra Bakehouse and Paul's Orchard. Pisarcik's Greenhouses will supply flowers. Details: 412-431-1810.
