Collin Smith, 10, of West Deer, who has competed in taekwondo for almost three years, won a World Champion title in his age division for 1st degree black belts at the American Taekwondo Association's Top Ten Tournament of Champions in June in Little Rock, Ark.

Collin won first place in 21 out of 23 tournaments in the 2007-08 season to rank No. 1 going into the tournament, where the top 10 competitors in each division compete for the association's title of World Champion. He also earned the title of World Champion in Weapons in his division.
