Q: What did you think of the roughing the passer call against James Harrison and what will been done about it if anything?
Thomas W. Redfern, Middletown
BOUCHETTE: Refs Gone Wild! These guys have a difficult job, but that does not excuse them from not doing it correctly. It was apparent to most anyone who saw that play that Harrison hit QB David Garrard as he was throwing, then let up on him rather than drive him into the ground as the two fell. That's not supposed to be a penalty. Shaun Rogers took longer to get to Ben Roethlisberger in Cleveland before he hit him and did not draw a penalty nor a fine. I've railed about the inconsistency of this call and it's time the NFL steps in and straightens its officials out on when to call the penalty and when not to. It's among the most controversial calls in the game.
