A Hill District man has been charged in connection with the shooting Wednesday evening of another man on the Reed-Roberts section of the Hill District.
Robert Freeman, 19, was apprehended minutes after the shooting, reported about 7:30 p.m.
The suspect was arrested on one count each of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, carrying a firearm without a license and altering or removing the weapon's marks of identification.
The victim, a 20-year-old North Side man whose name was not released, showed up at UPMC Presbyterian minutes after the initial report. He suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach.
Police said he is in stable condition.
