• Ella Kwisnek of Mt. Lebanon has been named vice dean of the evening division at the Duquesne University School of Law. She will continue to serve as assistant dean of students at the university.

Ms. Kwisnek earned her bachelor's degree from Saint Vincent College and her law degree from Duquesne Law School, where she was on the editorial boards of the Duquesne Law Review and Juris magazine. After graduating, she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Lesotho, Africa, then as a law clerk to Thomas G. Saylor of the Pennsylvania Superior Court. She returned to Duquesne's law school in 1995.

J• oni Mansmann, director of business at the Canon-McMillan School District, has earned a certificate of enhanced qualifications in budgeting from the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials.

Mrs. Mansmann has been employed by the district since July 2007. She is working on a master's degree at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre.

• John R. Fornear, a June graduate of Upper St. Clair High School, received a $2,000 scholarship from the Financial Service Centers of America, the national trade association representing the financial service center industry.

He is attending Penn State University-Erie.

Mr. Fornear is one of 31 students from across the country who each received a cash grant of $2,000. FiSCA awarded a total of $62,000 in scholarships this year.
