An autopsy was being performed this afternoon at the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office on the body of a 72-year-old man who was found dead Friday night in a hot tub at a Strip District club, a popular meeting spot for gay men.

The man whose body was found in Club Pittsburgh was identified by the medical examiner's office as Robert Crye of the North Side.

Last year, investigators probed the death of Cleophus Pettway, 31, of Youngstown, Ohio, who body was found in January 2009 in a private room at the Penn Avenue club.

Toxicology results showed Mr. Pettway had cocaine in his system but also chemicals from a spray typically used to clean VCRs. The club sold the solvent--advertised under the brand name "Maximum Impact"--to patrons, who would huff it to get high.

Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen A. Zappala Jr. said his office would not charge the club with involuntary manslaughter because the death was more likely caused by the cocaine than the huffing agent.
