Sunday, September 05, 2010

A man survived after leaping from a bridge in Oakland Saturday night and tumbling into some trees and bushes below, a Pittsburgh dispatch supervisor said.

The man jumped around 6:30 p.m. from a portion of Schenley Drive that spans a ravine and runs over Boundary Street near the entrance to Schenley Park.

He remained conscious after the fall and called 9-1-1.

The supervisor said the man had leg injuries but did not know his condition. He was transported to UPMC Presbyterian.
