Pittsburgh's Labor Day parade will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Centre Avenue and Crawford Street, Uptown, near the Consol Energy Center and Civic Arena.
Its route will follow Centre Avenue, Sixth Avenue, Grant Street and the Boulevard of the Allies before ending on Commonwealth Place, Downtown.
Traffic will be restricted around the parade route.
All city of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, state and federal offices and courts will be closed Monday for the Labor Day holiday.
Banks and liquor stores also will be closed. There will be no regular mail delivery or collection, but Express Mail will be delivered.
Pittsburgh garbage collection will be pushed back one day all week, with Friday's collection being made on Saturday.
The Port Authority of Allegheny County will operate holiday service, and its Downtown service center will be closed. For more information, call its customer service line (412-442-2000) from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or go to www.portauthority.org.
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation driver's license and photo centers also will be closed, although some services will be available on its website, www.dmv.state.pa.us.
