State police continue to investigate a crash in which a driver struck and killed a 61-year-old man and then fled the scene in Venango County early Thursday morning.

At approximately 4:30, Charles Slaven, from Rouseville, was walking along Route 8 in Cornplanter when he was hit by the vehicle. The driver was later identified as Pleasantville resident, Kimberly Campbell, 50.

Mr. Slaven was pronounced dead on the scene.

No charges have been filed.
